Hi,
I've been using PasTeX from ab20, and it's great. But I'm just learning
TeX and, while I can get plain TeX to work fine, I don't know how to
use LaTeX. I wouldn't bother with it, but I have some documents that are in 
LaTeX format that I would like to use. (In addition, Maple can produce
LaTeX output).
Could anyone breifly explain the steps I need to go through to produce
a dvi file from the LaTeX source? I thought I understood that LaTeX
was really just a macro and I have made and used lplain.fmt. But
all I got were a bunch of error messages. I must be missing some key
ingredient to all this.
