I'm looking for an enjoyable strategic game for the Amiga. Recently, someone suggested "Overlord" and "Awesome". Before I buy, however, I'd like to learn more about them. If anyone can answer all or some of the following questions, I'd greatly appreciate hearing from you: 1. Is the game realistic? Recently, I played "Imperium" and gave up in disgust with its unrealistic limitations. (As one-of-many examples, you're only allowed to build ships on one planet at a time, even if you have several, hi-tech, industrialized planets. Arrrrrgggghhhh!) 2. Is it a fast-paced game? "Stellar Conquest" and "Empire" are fast-paced, but lack substance. "Lords of the Rising Sun" is slow and clunky and ridiculous at times with its silly, time-consuming, and unnecessary messages. "Imperium" requires the patience of Job, taking forever to do the simplest things. "Reach for the Stars" moves along well, but has other problems and limitations. 3. Is the game easy to configure to a user's tastes, or is everything set in concrete? Can you choose the number of computer-controlled opponents and their characteristics? Can you fine-tune the costs of items and their construction times? Can you generate your own map of the world or galaxy? 4. Is the game fun? And, even more importantly, why do you think it's fun? What unusual features of the game do you find especially impressive? 5. Can the game be installed on a hard disk? 6. What type of copy protection is used? I realize that I'm seeking the perfect strategic game, and I know that I won't find it. However, any help in my search will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
