I have built Jeff Lavin's I/O Expansion from the Feb. issue of AC but
am having problems getting it to work.  First, CTS and RTS need to be
connected (why should this be?).  I can talk to the modem fine, but only
if I have VLTjr 5.034 set to use the newser.device and configured as 
unit 0.  Unit 1 and unit 2 will not work.  When I connect to another
computer, I get garbage and VLT complains of both parity errors and 
line errors.  If I use the original serial port and the serial.device
everything works fine.
 
Also, VLT5.034 does not cause the IOPatch window to open, but VLT4.xxx does.
Has anyone else built this yet?
