well, when i had to do it, i made up a custom font, from a list of 
Intermec Code69 barcodes, and stamped them into a deluxepaint screen, 
which i then laboriously converted to postscript with IFF2PS (oh by the 
way if anyone has a version of THAT later than 1.2, let me know!) and 
stuffed it down a serial line to an apple laserwriter.  cos i don't own 
aprinter...
