It uses a standard Centronics type parallel interface that any parallel printer interface should work with. I happen to use a Grappler+ for mine. Software wise, I have set up Appleworks (3.0) to use it as an Epson printer, and I have had no problems with it except for one minor annoyance. I haven't figured out how to get Appleworks to use it in the near-letter-quality mode.
