You could also use it for any other movement (joystick). Pin 7 O +5V | | / R2 \ 270 ohms / \ | | + LED | - | / 270 ohms |/ Pin 6 O----\/\/\/---| 2N3904 or any NPN you can get your hands on. R1 |\ \ v | Pin 8 O GND You can use any NPN transistor (like a 2N2222) you have although you may have to change the resistor values slightly. R1 is optional....it works fine with or without it. I didn't calculate or measure ANY values.
