Being an eternal optimist (I still - use Atari stuff, don't I?), I'm curious about how I'd go to multiple - lines if that was necessary. It seems like a question that might be - asked fairly often. So given ST rather than Mega E or TT hardware, is - there a good way to set up a multi-line BBS? The best IBM PC - multi-lines seem to use multiple networked machines. Is a suitable - networking product available in the US? Is there a good way to get - multiple serial ports on an ST? Atari uses DC-Port on a Mega4 for their 5-line BBS, running Michtron BBS v3.0. DC-Port, from what I hear, plugs into the cartridge port of any ST and gives you either 2 or 4 extra serial ports. The only BBS program that I know of that supports it is Michtron BBS v3.0. Niteline BBS is supposed to be able to run multiple lines, but I don't know what hardware it uses. STalker, the fantastic terminal program, also supports DC-Port. You can have 3 STalker terminals installed, with each calling a different place using DC-Port. DC-Port is a Double Click product. Your best bet is to contact them. -- Ed Krimen ............................................... ||| Video Production Major, California State University, Chico ||| INTERNET: ekrimen@ecst.csuchico.edu FREENET: al661 / | \ SysOp, Fuji BBS: 916-894-1261 FIDONET: 1:119/4.0
