Ommm, Confmail, Msged, and DECCOMM should do it for you. You won't need Code Blue to run any of them. - --- msged 1.99L MSC * Origin: Silver Bullet - Silver Spring, Md. - 301-622-2247 (1:109/417) ------------------------------ Date: 25 Feb 91 13:18 -0500 From: NOLAN LEE To: FRANK MALLORY Subject: FOSSIL NEEDED FOR BOW Thanks Frank, will any of the fossils for the Rainbow work when I'm using Code Blue or the IBM character rom that I'm using? The fossils essentially obviate the need for Code Blue. The so-called video fossil, for example, is actually a terminal emulator, giving you the Alt key and other IBM facilities. I don't know how well it would work with the IBM character rom; probably not too well, in the sense that you would not see the IBM line draw characters correctly. - --- msged 1.99L MSC * Origin: Silver Bullet - Silver Spring, Md. - 301-622-2247 (1:109/417) ------------------------------ Date: 25 Feb 91 10:23 -0500 From: RON KRITZMAN To: NOLAN LEE Subject: RE: HELP WITH MODEM The DF-03 is really pretty simple. Leave all the front panel switches 'out' except or the HS and the TA which you'll use depending on how you are operating the modem. HS means hi-speed, ie: 1200 baud. With the talk switch 'in', you can dial the number using a phone plugged in to the back of the modem. WHen you hear carrier, you pop out the TALK/DATA switch and you connect. If your DF-03 has a dialer, (not all of them do) there are only 2 commands. CTL-B, followed by a number will dial that number. (pulse only - - this thing is ancient) CTL-B followed by CLT-C will redial the last number. - --- Opus-CBCS 1.14 * Origin: Chicago's BIT WIZ Opus HST (Net 115 NEC) (1:115/689.0) ------------------------------ Date: 26 Feb 91 21:47 -0500 From: NOLAN LEE To: FRANK MALLORY Subject: FOSSIL NEEDED FOR BOW If I send you a couple of formatted disks and return postage, could you make me a copy of the fossils that I need for the Rainbow?
