Booth) Organization: 3D/Eye Inc., Ithaca, NY Lines: 22 Can anybody think of a reason why I can't get a 370 (hpux 7.03) to boot from a scsi disk attached through the 98658 interface? I could swear that I've done everything right: The interface is installed at SC 16 because I've got an hpib disk interface at 14. When I boot from the hpib, I can access the scsi disk just fine. When I bring the node up in attended mode, the system shows me that I have a kernel on both the scsi and the hpib disks (which I do). When I choose to boot the scsi kernel though, the system flashes a few times, posts the message: "booting /hp-ux," and just sits there. Any clues? Both the scsi and hpib interfaces are at interrupt level 4. ok? The hpib interface is set as a system controller. Problem? Dmesg and spuscan both say that the interfaces are functional Boot roms on this machine are rev C1. My 7.03 is straight from the SE tapes. I've applied no special patches. Thanks for any wisdom... -- Paul B. Booth (paul@eye.com) (...!hplabs!hpfcla!eye!paul) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3D/EYE, Inc., 2359 N.
