This is a survey of vendors, not disks. Two vendors (CompuAdd and Hard Drive International) provided better service than others. I've installed a few disks, but I've never had to determine whether a particular disk would work with a particular computer and controller card. I've dealt only with "supported" configurations. The actual installation is pretty easy. But you and I would both be much better off with the phone support provided by the two vendors above. Before you order the disk, tell the vendor exactly what computer and controller you have, and let them guide you through disk selection. If you buy from those two and the disk doesn't work in your computer you can return the disk. That would make me feel much more secure than if I would be stuck with the disk.
