I happen to have a whole song on my hard disk which is digitized. It is about five-six minutes long (I have not timed it) and takes 4.2 megs if it is stored in the compressed sound format. If it is stored uncompressed, it takes 5.3 megs. I hope this gives you some ideas about the size of digitized sound which is stored on the Mac.
