Keywords: sleep multifinder waitnextevent event manager Message-ID: <1991Mar1.112331.17941@ux1.cso.uiuc.edu> Date: 1 Mar 91 11:23:31 GMT Sender: usenet@ux1.cso.uiuc.edu (News) Organization: University of Illinois at Urbana Lines: 22 I was wondering what "sleep" values most people send to WaitNextEvent? I have perused Apple's _Programmer's_Guide_To_Multifinder_ and seen the example program there (which sets the sleep parameter to MAXLONG (is that 0xffffffff?) unless the application is in the foreground and its frontmost window has a TextEdit record that needs to flash a caret, in which case the value returned by GetCaretTime() is used). Any suggestions? Please e-mail responses and I'll post a summary. Thanks Erik A.
