We're in the process of upgrading our PC LAN here, and the question is should we go to 3+ OPEN(we're using 3+ Share now) or bite the bullet and go to Netware 386. I personally don't care which way we go, but I would like to make an intelligent choice. So it really boils down to this: does LAN Manager(which is really the same as 3+ OPEN) have any obvious plusses over Novell 386(or vice versa for that matter)? A couple other questions: 1) is 386 Netware really as easy to gen as they say it is(doing a 2.15 SFT was a real pain as I recall). 2) any experience with the ProComp disk controller, or recommendations for other disk controllers? For that matter any recommendations on PC servers? -- Mark Brinich voice mail(or maybe the real live thing)216 498-2821 e-mail uunet!keinstr!brinich Keithley Instruments 28775 Aurora Rd.
