In addition I have been making backup copies of .fs* and Desk* so it is possible to restore their desktop in case of problems, and this seems to work OK. After customising the layout of / I would now like for other users to be able to inherit this layout. I have tried copying the .fs* and Desk* files between System Folders, but the layout for / always seems to result in the standard layout.
