Has BSD been ported to the 386? The Feb issue of Dr. Dobbs makes mentions that it is available and sources can be obtained from the Computer Systems Research Group at Berkeley. A notice in the editorial of the March issue states that the update to the Networking Release Distribution will be available in Feb. It then goes on to say that the Feb distribution will not boot on a 386, and that it only requires a license/distribution fee. ????? What exactly is missing from the $100 Unix clone Coherent? Anyone know when the GNU kernel will be finished and if it will run on a 386? Thanks in advance. Tom Johnson Southeastern Mass Univ Student
