The Borland C debugger is no more a "Windows application" than
CodeView.  Technically, both are Windows applications.  However,
both provide character mode interfaces.  

On debugging with a single monitor: Microsoft has been distributing
a beta version of CodeView which also works with a single monitor.
After using it for several days, I got tired of constant screen
redraws, and now I'm back to the two monitor approach.
