The first time I unzipped WinQVT/NET 1.5 and set up the .rc file, it worked perfectly. The next time I tried it, it gave the error message: Stop! Network initialization error! I've tried it many times since then, trying out different packet vectors (60, 65, 70) and different versions of the packet driver, all to no avail. I get the same error message. Yet, I can get Tel- net to work without any problem. I've also tried unzipping a fresh copy and starting from scratch. The machine is an IBM Model 55SX with a WD8003e board in it. This is the first time I've had Winqvt/Net on the machine. This is what I do: Boot machine C:\> wd8003e 0x60 0x3 (or sometimes 96 3) C:\> pktint (both files are in root) C:\> win Anything wrong so far? Then click on the icon and the error message appears. I DO have the pc_ip= and packet vector= lines filled in. Perhaps I ought to try the older version and see if that works. Meantime I'll stick to Telnet. btw.. is there a way to get the News reader in qvt/net to display headers? -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Iskandar Taib | The only thing worse than Peach ala Internet: NTAIB@AQUA.UCS.INDIANA.EDU | Frog is Frog ala Peach Bitnet: NTAIB@IUBACS ! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
