Do what the customers ask for.  If that's both, then you have to make
a decision as to how much it's worth to you.

The only problem with this is that some vendors are rumoured to not
give you any support unless you do what *they* want.

I'm not sure which upsets me more; that people are so unwilling to accept
responsibility for their own actions, or that they are so eager to regulate
everyone else's.
