If you have access to last year's Xhibition '90 proceedings, there a paper "The Application of Real-Time Paradigms to the X Window System" that describes what RealTimeX contains. There will also be a paper at Xhibition '91 (I haven't finalized the title) that describes the current state of the project. Briefly, RealTimeX supports prioritization of windows and clients, as well as preemption, synchronization, and determinism support. - sam ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Once you remove the absurdity from human existence, there isn't much left. __________ / _______/__ ...!{decvax,uunet}!masscomp!black /__/______/ / black@westford.ccur.com Concurrent /_________/ Computer Corporation -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
