Question:

I'm running a downloaded Motif window manager on an NCR x-terminal.
This creates a problem where I can't start up any windows from the 
manager using the f.exec function. No problem when starting from 
the keyboard. I was told by one person that it had to do with the 
standard file descriptors staying open so I closed them - no cigar.
Actual line is "xterm <&- >&- 2>&- &". Same thing with other X apps.

Can anyone help me on this and explain what is happening? I'm lost.
