	The Sun SPARCstation1 with SunOS 4.1 that I use comes with the Openlook
	interface toolkit (OLIT) as a standard widget set.  I was wondering if
	this widget set is publically available.  
  
AT&T's Unix System Laboratories licenses the source for this toolkit to 
commercial concerns, including a redistribution license for binaries, 
for $1000 per LAN (50-mile radius limit, I think).  

There may be an educational discount;  I've never asked, since I know I 
wouldn't qualify.  Call Linda Norman at (800) 828-UNIX and ask about a source 
license for "OPEN LOOK Graphical User Interface Release 4."  (I think they
could sell more if the name were a little jazzier, and less easily 
confused with the L&F name "Open Look," something like the Xt+ they started
out with in the misty dawn of time, but I guess it's well known that AT&T
is not the most effective sales force around.)

If you license the source, you get features that are unreleased as yet by
Sun, such as 3D widgets.  Source also includes the file manager, window
manager, workspace manager, pixmap editor, etc., etc.

Note: I don't work for AT&T; you'll have to read the license yourself to see
if you think it's workable.
