Is there a function for forcing a exposure event for a given region? i.e., if I
want to draw an object what I would like to do is have my program think that 
the boundary of my object has been exposed and consequently perform all drawing
via the expose callback. I hesitate to pose the question this way, but if there
are any former or current Mac programmers what I want is the Motif/X/Xt
equivalent
of InvalRect.
