Light Dimmer Question Message-ID: <400eeta@yoda.byu.edu> Date: 27 Feb 91 17:44:31 GMT Lines: 15 HELP! I've been working on my senior project and find that I need a light dimmer circuit that can control an incandescent(sp?) 120VAC lamp from a 0-5V control signal. I've tried several dimming circuits and can't seem to find anything that works. I've been using quadracs (triac w/internal diac trigger) and find that I can't vary lamp brightness much -- with a normal dimmer circuit (like the ones I see in various books) I get on, 1/2 on, and off, which is unacceptable. If anyone could e-mail some useful ideas to me, I'd really appreciate it. (Oh, and I need info ASAP, since it has to be working in a month!) Thanks a million..... -Don Yacktman eeta@yoda.byu.edu <--preferred address (or: eeta@spock.byu.edu, eeta@adam.byu.edu, eeta@everest.ee.byu.edu)
