Well, I'd like to throw in that I think no definition of sin is complete without this verse: "Therefore, to one who knows the right thing to do, and does not do it, to him it is sin." (James 4:17) Too often we think we can get away without doing God's will. Sometimes we put it off til later. Sometimes we think of it as an option that God gives us if we really want. The truth is that it's sin _not_ to serve God. Trust me -- this is something that I've learned from personal experience. And, I think it's something that alot of us are guilty of.
