   To facilitate (and improve?) the job of scheduling classes at our
educational institution, I would like very much to get hold of some
general purpose timetabling software.
   Does any kind reader know whether any such software exists?   If so, is
there anything which is public domain?

   All help (including suggestions about newsgroups other than 
alt.sources.wanted) welcomed.
