  The comp.sources.misc archives contain a package called c_cover which does
this.

  The comp.sources.unix archives contain a package called casette-lbl which
does this.

  The alt.sources archives contain a posting entitled "another cassette tape
database, labels generator (awk, latex)" which does this.  On
wuarchive.wustl.edu, it's article number 2428 in the alt.sources.archives.
