A position is available for full-time research on cell physiological
problems of epithelia, using state-of-the-art video-enhanced light  
microscopy (fluorescence and contrast images) and image processing.
Collaboration is expected with several groups investigating transport
and electro-physiology, receptor biochemistry and pharmacology, and
intracellular signaling in several epithelial cell systems from the
respiratory tract, the kidney, and the sweat gland. The position allows
development of a research program on hormonal control of intracellular
pH and calcium of individual cells in a  cell monolayer. The position
includes training in cell physiology and imaging. CWRU is an equal
