Currently under consideration are Sun's PC-NFS and Novell's Netware, but I'm interested in hearing recommendations of or warnings against other products, too. We'd ideally like to be able to do the following things: - Connect 7 (or more) office PCs to a single HP Laserject Series II. - Share files (especially WordPerfect files) among all PCs. - Access Sun files from the PCs. - Print files from the PCs on the printers connected to SunOS. - Access PC files from SunOS. and especially - Still run normal DOS software (non-Windows 3.0) on the PCs. From what I understand, Netware will currently allow you to access DOS files from SunOS but not vice-versa. I'd be particularly interested in hearing from anyone who has integrated PCs into an Ethernet network, of course. Thanks, -- Bryan Curnutt bryan%uhura1@uunet.uu.net
