In my very scanty review of the issue, the answer is ``no''. The Rockwell board is not well thought of. It just doesn't seem to perform well under impaired line conditions. I've also heard that they have a big quality control problem ... | Are there other things to look for? Yes. Test the modems under your real world usage conditions. If you can, test it out connecting withing your local exchange and from nearby exchanges minimally. You can usually get distributors and manufactureers to lend you modems for a couple of weeks for your testing if you're going to buy a fair number of them. Other than that, your best bet is to post questions about specific modems to this group. Casey
