My department is planning on purchasing some advanced graphing and plotting packages. Our main hardware facilities are a network of Suns, soon to become a large network of Sparcs. Does anybody know of some good packages which run on Sparcs? Some of the requirements are: - Runs on Sparcs - Encapsulated PostScript output - atleast 2D and 3D plotting and graphing (surface plots) - interactive - Maybe it can do some data analysis and curve fitting Some of the packages I have in mind are Matlab, TempleGraph and so on. Any information (within the next week or so) will be much appreciated. Are there any other newsgroups where this query will be more appropriate?
