So I am looking for a public domain graphics software which allows to do simple animation: draw lines, erase them and redraw them slightly changed. THat's all that's needed. On my own machine I use PHIGS double buffering for that, but I have to implement it on another machine which runs X-windows and does not have PHIGS.
