The next version will be DPMI/XMS/VCPI compatible, but we aren't sure how soon Phar Lap will release a DPMI-compatible DOS Extender so we can't give you a definite date on this. Why would you need to download the 386 UR/FORTH 1.16 update? Mainly, if you are running in an XMS-aware environment such as Win 3.0 in Standard Mode or if you are by chance a beta tester for MS-DOS 5.0.
