Keywords: Color Postscript, Vertical Lines Message-ID: <13050@helios.TAMU.EDU> Date: 5 Mar 91 16:53:18 GMT Sender: usenet@helios.TAMU.EDU Organization: Department of Statistics, TAMU Lines: 17 I have have ecountered the following Postscript problem and I was wondering if anybody knows what is the matter. I wrote a program to print color posscript where every point has potentially a different color. When my postscript file is printed on my local non-color printer I get the desired output (in shades of gray of course), but when it is printed on a color postscript printer every 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch I have a white vertical line. Strangely, GS (Ghostscipt) gives me the same phenomena. I am positive that in my Postscipt file I am not skipping lines. The resolution of the plot is 72 dots/inch. When I scale the plot to 90 dots/inch the the frequency of the lines changes. At 300 dots/inch the lines (I think) disappear. From my understanding of Postscript I do not understand how this can happen. Does anyone know what is going on? Is their a way of fixing the problem? Any help, comments, suggestions would be appreciated. - Henrik
