Message-ID: <1991Mar04.182512.19097@hoss.unl.edu> Date: 4 Mar 91 18:25:12 GMT Sender: news@hoss.unl.edu (Network News Administer) Organization: Dept. of EE, Univ. of Nebraska-Lincoln Lines: 19 i have a very large run file; this accomodates around 10 entities, of which the first 3 are basically packages; however when i am in entity #10, i realize i need to work on package #1; at this time i use a RUN file consisting of the other 10 run files; when i do this more than once ( or so) the compiler just hangs; on doing a trace -p [pid] i get into a endless loop of some-thing-i-donot-understand; at this point the only alternative is to delete -lib -all [root-library]; then when i go thro' the different run files induvidually, every thing is back to normal; has anyone had this problem before? lastly would it be advisable to use 'revhd' instead ? questions is how to use revhd and what is it? which entity(s) do i need to do 'revhd'? if i do #10 would all the others get updates too? -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bharat P.
