Troble with 3+Open TCP with DPA on os/2 and DNS Message-ID: <1991Mar06.154316.27773@u30003.rsv.svskt.se> Date: 6 Mar 91 15:43:16 GMT Sender: jonkar@u30003.rsv.svskt.se (Jonas Karlsson) Organization: Swedish Tax Administration Lines: 18 I would wery much appreciate to hear from someone who can help me with a serious problem we are having. In the next couple of months we are installing some 1500 pc's with os/2, lan manager and TCP/IP all ower the country. We would like to be able to use our name servers instead of maintaining a hosts file on every pc. The trouble is that when attempting to connect to a host we get the answer "No such host" even when a trace from bind shows that the correct answer was returned. Some hosts work all the time and at least one newer. The details are a bit lengthy but i can send them if anyone wants them. P.S. I work with unix and don't know wery much about os/2. -- Jonas Karlsson Tel: +46 8 7648444 Riksskatteverket Fax: +46 8 292956 TE/DT Email: jonkar@u30003.rsv.svskt.se S-171 94, Solna, Sweden
