I have an AXIOM DX-2500 daisy wheel printer. It has a 2k
buffer and the manual says it is upgradable to 16k (as
an option), but it doesn't have any installation
procedures for it.
 
Has anyone done this upgrade to their printer? Can
you tell me what you did and what were the parts?

If I was to open the printer, what kind of chip should
I look for? Does anyone have an idea on how the printer
is upgraded (ie: an empty socket, replace a chip, etc)
