I posted this query a couple of months ago but got no reply so am
trying again.  If anyone knows anything *please* let me know.  I will
summarize anything that is of general interest.

I have a Sun 386i running SUNOS 4.0.2.  I am looking for an optical-magnetic
drive that is compatible with the Sun 386i, or for a combination of device
drivers and hardware that will work with the 386i.

I gather that there is a Delta Microsystems drive that will work.  Does anyone
have any experience with this drive or with other optical-magnetic drives on a
386i?
