Lines: 31 I have a Cipher ST150S-II tape driver I'm trying to hook up to an Adaptec 1540. There is an Exabyte connected outside of the machine. This has been working great! I have had for some time the Cipher and decided to put it inside the computer. Looks like: Exabyte ---------- Adaptec --------- Cipher Before I pulled the termination resistors out of the Adaptec, the Exabyte continued to work fine. However the Cipher would not work. So I pulled the termination resistors out of the Adaptec and now the Cipher works. But not the Exabyte. Looking at the Cipher, I found where the resistors go but I don't have the correct ones. I tried to put the ones from the Adaptec on the Cipher but there is a different number of pins and now neither tape drive works - or can even been seen from the computer! (I have a showdev command) To make a long story short (I know - to late!) I guess all of my problems are the terminating resistors on the Cipher. Can anybody tell me the correct value and/or a phone number for Cipher? Thanks in advance. ----Scott Scott Boake Palantir Systems, Inc. scott@palan.uucp 5030 - 78th Ave North Ste. 11 (813) 544-8152 Pinellas Park, FL 34665
