I am dealing with a project that needs to control the running of many programs.

One technique that sounds promising that I  have recently read about is INFLUENCE DIAGRAMS.
They appear to provide a way to relate the  dependencies among many programs and the control
decisions that determine the run order of programs.

Does anyone know of any code or have any code of INFLUENCE DIAGRAMS  that I may use to experiment with them.
