Because we mac-heads are talking about the Amiga 500 as a game machine. It's great for games -- specifically for the reasons stated. The built-in coprocessors make graphics and sound fly. I only wish that Apple would do the same for the mac. Even a simple bit-blitter in hardward would enable the mac to do some cool games. The demo of OIDS comes as close as I've seen to decent annimation on the mac.
