Everyone is welcome, _especially_ those who are still learning how to use Imagine. Its learning curve is much easier to climb if you have help. To join, send me (spworley@athena.mit.edu) e-mail with your mail address and I'll add you. If you have a standard Internet address, like bob@goober.edu, things are peachy. UUCP addresses (with lots of !'s in them) are much less likely to work reliably, but still function. To actually send mail to the list, you send mail to the address "imagine@athena.mit.edu" and it is automatically distributed to all the members. Administrivia like subscribing and de-subscribing should be sent to the administrator, (me!), spworley@athena.mit.edu. Steve Worley spworley@athena.mit.edu ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ So drop a note to Steve at this address to get on the list. As for glass, make sure that your `shininess' is set to zero, and then the higher the number in the `filter' setting, the more transparent the object. As for the luminent light bulb, thats a tough one, but play around with a light source inside a glass ball. Luminant objects, like those of Turbo Silver, are due to return in Version 1.0A of Imagine, coming soon. BTW, transparency works in scanline mode too, although not as well as in raytrace mode.
