IMHO, the output was clear and no color banding was evident -- without having a side-by-side comparison or a video technician's eye for such differences I'd guess that it stood up very well in output against a Targa board. And, when oyu especially consider the cost it looks even more impressive! I didn't see a didigitizing feature -- does it really have one? No, the Amiga screen output will not pass thru the DCTV. In effect, you switch from Amiga RGB to DCTV video. If the 1084 or 1950 didn't let you have two monitors in one (rgb & composite) then you'd have to have two separate monitors.
