     Montgomery Grant offers you the option of an "extended service
contract" for an additional $125+.  This basically replaces the warranty,
and I wouldn't be surprised if they simply sent faulty machines to
an authorized repair center, using the original warranties of the machines.
Buying from them is more or less like buying used machines--some of them
are actually physically used, and none come with regular warranties.
You might as well look for a used machine, which will be a lot cheaper
than even MG's prices.
