Why not get the Mach micro-kernel, port it to the Amiga (not a trivial task :), and then pop BSD 4.4 on top of it? Voila, PD UNIX :) Then get X11R4, write iwm (Intuition Window Manager), and you have Amiga "Look and Feel".
