Message-ID: <26915@netcom.COM> Date: 5 Mar 91 07:29:56 GMT Organization: Netcom - Online Communication Services UNIX System {408 241-9760 guest} Lines: 19 I am having trouble accessing store bought disks, disks created by other macs and even disks formatted by GCR. I just get disk errors when I try to copy stuff or sometimes the disk isn't even recognized as a MAC disk. These same disks are subsequently readable by other machines (real MAC's) and copies of the disks sometimes turn out more readable than the originals. This makes me suspect alignment problems but they don't show up in atari mode. Also I sometimes get errors when I format a disk in MAC mode and subsequently try to use it but when I run GCR test on these disks everything passes. I've tried running the GCR test several times and it passes using the disks that I previously had errors on. Anyone else have a simular problem? BTW- I have no problems accessing files in ATARI mode. kk -- Kenneth Kron kron@netcom.COM
