Message-ID: <1991Mar06.061514.5378@chinet.chi.il.us> Date: 6 Mar 91 06:15:14 GMT Organization: Chinet - Chicago Public Access UNIX Lines: 33 my 3B2/300 just doesn't boot. I shut it down to look at the guts in preparation of adding an XM, and I couldn't reboot it. It comes up with SELF-TEST and just hangs there. It never gets to the DIAGNOSTICS message. One time I let it just sit there for a while, and after about a half hour it said: 1-02 DISK SANITY FAILURE So, I whip out my handy maintenance manual, and it said to try to run 'fixdisk', and if that fails, replace the system board. Well, unlucky me, it failed!!! Do I have to replace the whole motherboard? Is there anything I'm missing? I can't see how something could have broken. Please get in touch with me here (gag@chinet.chi.il.us) or at uunet!motcid!gulik, or call me at (312) 714-8562.
