I eventually shifted to a new attack: swap boards between the one you sent and my mal-functioning unit until I either had smoke coming out of one of the units, or until one of them worked. Swapped the 'new' power board from your unit into my mal-functioning one, and immediately had a completely operational unit. Needless to say, I quit right there, buttoned everything up, and I don't plan to touch either unit unless/until the operational unit quits! Thanks for all of your help over the past few weeks. I'm really pleased to be up and functional again! hlh - --- Opus-CBCS 1.14 * Origin: Silver Bullet - Silver Spring, Md - 301-622-2247 (1:109/417.0) ------------------------------ Date: 28 Feb 91 18:51 -0500 From: CURTIS BECKER To: FRANK MALLORY Subject: DEC LA-50 PRINTER Hi Frank. I now have a fully functional LQP02, plus an additional unit that I can use for spare parts in the future (hope I don't need them, though!). Could use a bit of information about font cartridges for the LA100, though. Any idea where these items might be available, and do you have any idea concerning a price range? Again, thanks, and this deal worked out to my satisfaction (with still a bit of residual curiosity over eventual proper delivery of the other two packages you sent at the time you posted the printer to me???). hlh - --- Opus-CBCS 1.14 * Origin: Silver Bullet - Silver Spring, Md - 301-622-2247 (1:109/417.0) ------------------------------ Date: 4 Mar 91 16:27 -0500 From: DON MARQUART To: HOWARD HALL Subject: RE: LQP02; REPAIR OF > Don - > This worked out great as far as I am concerned. Just as long as you are satisfied, that was my only concern. I did get another LQP-02 just in case. Guess I'll go ahead and sell it now along with the LA-100PC I have sitting around. > Could use a bit of information about font cartridges for the LA100, > though.
