I don't recall this subject being discussed in the dim past. The Question: I just read several posts about a $400 disk drive for the HP48. I understand and agree with the need for larger off line storage, but the price is a bit much. If I can get a new Toshiba 1000 complete with disk (okay its 720K) serial line and DOS (feature or bug your choice) for around $525, why would I want to pay $400 for the drive alone?
