I have received several messages via email supporting the creation
of a group called comp.sys.hp48 and seen only one objection.  This 
name should be added to the list of names to be voted on.

If it hasn't already happened, there will soon be as many HP 48s
around as Amigas, and there is every indication that it will be with 
us for just as long.  Although there is a comp.sys.ibm.pc group, the 
Amiga group is not called comp.sys.cbm.amiga, and there is no reason
not to call the HP 48 group comp.sys.hp48.  Given HP's penchant for
numbers, a reasonable compromise position would be comp.sys.hp.48.

Of course, if there are too many choices, the vote will get split.
Perhaps a modified voting procedure can be used to rank preferences
before the official vote to form the group.
