The current newsgroup is dominated by postings for the hp48, and since this is the only machine >I< am concerned about, I see no problems. 8-) 2. Why should there be separate groups for different machines? You don't see separate newsgroups for IBM and Apple machines, do you? 8-) 3. If comp.sys.handhelds were created, it would mean I would need to press the space bar when asked by 'rn' if I wanted to subscribe to the new group, and then I be required to press it AGAIN when asked where I wanted to put it. On top of that, I would be forced to press 'u' to unsubscribe to the old group. I am just too busy to have such inconvenience imposed upon me. 8-) 4. It has been pointed out that although the hp48 is hot now, what happens when a newer, and better machine takes it's place? I realize that the addition of comp.sys.handhelds.hp will be an irreversible change, and never again will we be able to create another such group, nor will we be able to delete it once created. Therefore it is irresponsible and reckless to even consider making such changes without assurance that the changes will be satisfactory for all eternity. 8-) -- Robert Yoder "It's 10 o'clock.
